What seem to be the themes or lessons in your book? What is your character learning? What do you think the author is trying to teach the reader? What's the moral of the story?
Bret is trying to learn multiple things within the story. Bret is learing that he knows he cant win over his dad and to get his dad to listen to Bret. Also Bret finds out that Kylee loves him but he dosnt want to say he loves her back because he doesn't know if its true, so he always say "I Live You Too". As everyone grows up we know that we need to take life into our hands and to know that our parents wont be there always for us when we need them. So from the book the author is telling us that through our teenage years it might be tough. Going through changes with our body, and pressure from other people.
The themes and lessons portrayed in the novel are: 1. Not giving up when times are hard 2. The importance of family 3. Finding themselves - who they are 4. Addictions 5. Suicide, and hurting oneself
and many more...
The characters are learning the process of recovering from an altered mind set is long and difficult.
I think the author is trying to convey a message to the reader that we (the reader) struggle, but so do a lot of other people. We are not alone in our struggles and we all have a past. It's about making your own choices - taking responsibility for your actions, and facing your fears.
Essentially, taking the easy route out isn't always the most effective.
In the book A Day No Pigs Would Die, the lesson being taught to Robert is how to become a man. His father is teaching him to run the farm and be successful at it.
Aunt Matty is teaching Robert how to understand English (the subject).
The author is trying to teach the reader about the days of hard work on the farm, and to not take things for granted. The author wants the reader to know you have to work hard to become successful, but along the way to success there are hurdles one must overcome.
In my book there is a good lesson. The characters in my book are being chased by crazy infested people and the town is going into chaos but they dont give up. They help each other out through the problems teaching you to always stick together. They also have been in a few difficult situations where they could have quit trying to get away. You learn that you cant give up no matter how challenging a problem is
I think that Bella is learning a lot of things from about herself in the book. She lwearned that love is not easy and that it doesnt ever get better. She had learned that friends are really important and that she needs to hang on to them because you just never know when your going to up alone
The 1 main lesson in my book seems to be learning responsibility and thankfullness. The author is trying to teach the reader how easy they have it or how some kids have to work to become adults earlier. The moral of the story is to show that everyone has a chance at success.
Robert is learning how to read and write in his english class and by his aunt because if he doesn't know how to read and write he can't vote. Robert is learning how to run the farm because his dad died.He had to take big responsibility to run the farm.
I think my characters can best relate to the lessons being learned in Casey's book (new moon?)
The main characters in my book are learning that love is hard to find and hard to hold on to. They've experienced a lot of unhealthy relationships (especially Tony who has been sexually abused by his mother's boyfriends and thus leads him to believe he is homosexual), and they are all questioning their relationships more (girlfriends, family, friends, etc), even though they think they have no control over some of them. They talk about realizing that sex isn't the same as making love and such.
Right now they're trying to find a friend in that place because they help you to keep holding on.
When they get out that's when their life will get 'iffy' again, and more than likely will fall back into their old abusive relationships.
Throughout the books Bella learns respect, paticients, and thinks about every one that is involved with her. she is always thinking about the safety of her family, Jake, and Edward. She is very settle with what Edward tells her to do and even if she doesnt like it she still tries to do it anyway.
In my book Red Earth, White Earth the theme is like what Z-dub's comment, Guys grandfather wants him to take over the farm. but guy doesn't because he already successful in his business in Cali. he started the business from scratch.
In the world of spies and counterintelligence secrets are kept and what Mitch Rapp learns is to say nothing. it is better to sit and listen then to talk and draw attention. He also learns to watch his back and trust no one.
Hes starting to believe he is crazy for seeing and hearing things that could not be there. Also for talking to his dog whome seems to have an uncany ability to understand his master and folow even the most complex orders.
The theme in my book I think is just getting back on track in life... The 3 main character in the treatment for suicide have to reconnect with family and find themselves.. They have to go through activities to help them become more stable with mind and body
What Adam descibed in his book has come similarities with my book.. he said that his book was about learning to deal with the troubles of being a teen and the problems they face with parents.. and that has a lot in common with my book Impulse Especially with the character Conner He has a hard time keeping up with his parents expectation and that is his biggest trouble
I think that one theme or lesson that is also learned in my book is never judge somebody by what they wear and also never give up on your dreams soon enough you will pull through. My book reminds me of a thing that my coach always told me it might always seem like everything is an up hill battle but once you get to the top of the hill you will look down and see how far you have really come by following your dreams. so that is one lesson that i think kate had learned through the book.
I think that Kate as many simular thing like "copper's" does. For example in their book they had also said that a theme or lesson was never giving up. which I had also said happened in my book. Also in a way my book connects with what Funky had said because my main character is not trying to read but she is trying to write her own songs to sing well playing the guitar.
I think the theme of my book is love can overpower anything. Even though Bella risks her life every moment she is with Edward, she wants to be with him, she loves him. No matter what they are doing or where they go she feel safe, even when he tells her not to be. I do believe that with love you have achieve many things, but it also take determination. Bella had a lot of determination to stay with Edward that's why she thought so strongly about becoming a vampire. On the other hand Edward loved Bella so much that he didn't want to take the human away from her and kept his distance because he didn't want to hurt her.
One of the main lessons in my book is to never leave a trail. You can be tracked with the slightest trail which could end in your death. Another lesson is to never become distracted. Rock became distracted by Sharon and ended up almost losing the woman he loved to a wicked, lying man. One theme in my book is trust. Rock has learned not to trust anyone and it has done him good all along, it saved his life, and countless others.
Many of Cooper's themes and lessons are similar to mine. Rock never gives up. Once he has made up his mind that is the only way it is going to be. He also knows the importance of family. Once he realizes he truly loves Sharon he is ready to make her his only known family member by getting married to her and becoming a part of what is left of her family.
I believe the themes and lessons in this book are that don't get up, do what you love to do. Also have friends and family that supports you on what you do not for who they want you to be. Have fun in your life and be where you want to.
My book is similar to Adams because my character is taken racing into his hands and had done everything with the team, instead of his dad. Also the Bob J.R. wants to take up racing but Bob S.R. wants him to work the New York banks as a CEO excutive but he doesnt know how to tell his dad that he has been racing back home now.
one of the lessons in my book relates to gangsta's in that never get distracted because if you do it could be your life. when mitch is undercover he needs to be very focused and if he gets distracted it could be a major problem
One of the other themes in this book appeared to have no trust betweeen the characters at all... everyone in this book was looking out for him or herself. they were all in it to win for themselves and i think their greed got in their way of their better judgement...
Funky's story and my story relate because we both have judges in our stories. I cannot say how substainal of a role Funky's judge played in the story but mine however played a very important role of figuring out all the little details.
My book has many lessons: 1.Every ones life is worth living. 2.never give up, no matter how har things get hard 3. Family must stick together no matter what happens. This family went through alot through out the story. In the end i think they all realized that no matter how disabeled someone might be, it dose not mean that their life is any less worth living then that of a normal person. Also they realized to over come anything they cannot fall apart.
My books lesson is similar to shanes because in crossing the border my character has to make friends to help him. Also in my book the main character works to support his family like shanes help eachother out.
The main lesson in my book is that you need to be your own unique individual. and that equilibreum is never good. My main character in my book is the entire town and thay all learn this in the end. so the moral of the story is to be yourself.
My book kind of relates to corn fed with the stand for what you believe in. because in the middle of the book it was debated to switch back to the vitamins instead of placebos to bring back the equalibreum of the town. but the doctor believed that that was not right.
The theme of my book is that there is nothing better then love and there is nothing worse then losing love. The lesson you learn from the book is that you don't really know what you have until its gone.
You should never try to dig to deep into somthing that you know will only bring you pain expecialy if its the military. Surf every day or any chance given and love the ones you love. Dont contemplate the future or what it holds just wait for it to come and take it one step at a time no matter how hard it gets. Learn to shrug off old grudges and forgive those who ment no harm.
There are a lot of lessons that marcus finds out that he could of changed but never did and now he regrets it big time. for example how the two of them went out and jumped people for money just to make way when they could of went out just like every other human and got an acutal job.
you should never follow people or fall into peer preasure because in the end its not worth it as you can see thats what happened to eddie he went down the wrong path and it just lead him into trouble. on thing that eddie will never forget is when he killed some guy just because his best friend told him to. so now for eddie his life is wreacked!!!!!!!
Not sure if we can make connections by finding an opposite of a connection but i will anyway. In Mike Paradys book they cant trust each other and all are for themselves. But in my book the characters need to stick together in order to live.
I can also relate to MJ because one message in my book is not giving up when things get rough. like whene they were traped in a motel room with everybody that wants to kill them surrounding them.
The moral or reason to the story is, Clay refuses to let people push him around, even though the man is rich, big and powerful. I think the author is trying to say you shouldn't let people push you around in life no matter who they are, you should always fight for what you think is right, and if it is right there is always some chance of winning.
my book connects with T-holmes because clay decides not to be a follower and become like others that Judd Devit has pushed around with his power. Many times his peers would tell him he will loose and that Judd Devit always gets his way but Clay seeks his own path or plan and fights him off.
Like Shane book except with the invested people, Edward and Bella never give up, they are willing to do whatever it take to be together and keep safe. Shane said it taught him how to stick together which i think really relates to how the Cullen family sticks together to safe Bella and help Edward, they didn't have to be so generous and help safe her life. No matter the situation stick to it and hopefully it will work out, it seemed to work for Bella and Edward so far...
one of the themes that comes to light in my book is that magic is all around.one of the big things in my book is to save the Mani way of life. Mani beleaves in the natural magic of the earth and a new human religion (Uni) is destroying magic. the lessen is that if you change serten things you wiil probobly destroy many other things.
a big reacuring theme in my book is that Stryke never gives up and he is alwas stiving to be the best at whatever he does. this is like coopers coment, nomater how hard things get he never gives up. right now it seems like his mission is lost and he is detined to die but he still is determaned to carry out his campain.
Rob is walking his pig at a fair for a Judge. His pig just won first place for best acting.
ReplyDeleteBret is trying to learn multiple things within the story. Bret is learing that he knows he cant win over his dad and to get his dad to listen to Bret. Another theme in my book is that robert put a terrier in a barrel with a weasel. He did that to see who would win the fight

ReplyDeleteBut he does come to realize that nothing will ever be the same......
He is still willing to try to fix what had been lost/broken but I'm not sure what that will do.....all he can do is try....
