The conflicts in the novel involve a boys many obstacles in crossing the border to find work. The biggest obstacle was transportation because it would've been impossible for him to walk all the way to the border from his home town. To overcome this obstacle he ended up taking a bus until he got kicked off for not having mexican id. Then he escaped and hitched a ride on a train and is now at the border.
A conflict that Bret faces in the book is when he gets tickets to a concert that he is performing in. He goes into his dads garage where he knows he shouldnt be to try and convince his dad to come watch him. As he tries to tell him how he never shows how Bret's dad loves him enough, Bret thought giving his dad a ticket would show that he likes doing other things than sports. In the end of the conflict is dad mocks him for many things, the way he dresses, his hair, his friends, how he's a mistake in his family. Bret soon after leaves the garage and goes to the play without his dad.
Emma, the new girl at the high school in Winter, Colorado, is invited to a party at one of her peers because his parents will be out of town. At the party there is a wierd box that the boys Dad found that he doesn't want damaged. During the party the box is found and accidently opened. A silvery dust emerges from the box and everyone at the party is frightened by it. The next day people who came in contact with the dust, like the most popular girl in school, start acting weird. The popular girl becomes ugly and a student assaults a teacher. That afternoon a blizzard forces school to be dismissed early and the crazy kids come after the box. Emma, her friend Betina, and the host of the party are forced to run out into the woods to get away from the students following them.... bum bum bum....
My book starts with a girl Katie being in love with the "perfect man" Matt. The conflict starts when Matt comes to her house one night to tell her he can't see her any more, he has a wife and baby. The conflict get bigger when you find out that Katie is having Matt's baby. To make things harder for Katie Matt gives her his wifes diary and the Katie really likes his wife and can't hate her.
Some conflicts in the book, A Day No Pig Would Die, are Robert is being bullied in school. This has caused him to avoid school and now he is failing because he is working on the farm instead. Robert's father doesn't want Robert to end up like him and not be able to read or write because then he won't be able to vote.
Another conflict was Aunt Matty not accepting the fact that Robert had a D on his report card. He knew he would be fine with his mama seeing his report card because she could only read letters. However, when Aunt Matty saw it she explained what a D in English was and immediately began tutoring him because she used to be an English teacher. When she tried to teach him about diagraming she realized he had no clue how to diagram, and he didn't understand what she wanted.
One of the conflicts that all 3 characters face more than once is visiting family while being in the treatment. Tony - barely knows his dad and he feels betrayed by him for leaving him when he was a kid. When he visits his fathers home he feels out of place and not welcomed. Venessa - loves seeing her brother and grandma but when they make an unexpected trip to see her mother she begins to sink into her depression again. Conner - has the most trouble going back home for the weekend. The high expectation that his parents ask for leaves him feeling not good enough to be in their perfect home, perfect family.
The characters are finding so much comfort in Aspen Springs that they don't want to go home because it would be like starting their troubles back over again. They're not sure how they are going to transition from Aspen Springs to their home and family - which is a problem of its own.
So far, it's Easter Weekend and the all of the characters have upgraded to a "Level 3" which allows them to go home for the weekend. But, the only one that goes home is Vanessa.
While she was home, her father came back from the Middle East (Iraq?) where he was a soldier. He confronts her about what is going on - and they talk briefly about her mother...she seems comfortable talking to him, her grandma, and her brother. She seems to have the easiest time when it comes to dealing with her family. Her biggest drawback in her family is her mother.
As for Tony, he's struggling with letting his long lost father back in his life. He's having a hard time understanding why he even wants to be a part of his life - Why Now? Tony stays back for Easter Weekend. He is also scared of the relationships he has had with his mother's boyfriends. And struggles with his sexual identity.
Conner also stays back when asked to go home for the weekend by Dr. Boston - psychologist. But, when Tony, Dr. Boston, Carmella, and himself go to a movie Friday night Conner runs into his ex-girlfriend, and Sunday morning when going to church Conner runs into his family. He fears that he has to be the same perfectionist when he goes back home and meet all of his parents' expectations so that weekend was hard for him anyway.
Other than that, Vanessa is still trying not to cut...and they're all trying so hard not to become just another statistic.
In Executive Decision the conflict that my main character faced was trying to stop a terrorist plot while also trying to save a family taken hostage in another part of the world. The problem with this is that he cant trust anybody because of the fact that not only is everyone in washington corrupt they will do anything to make an extra dollar. this proves hard for the main character but he always ends up on top.
The first conflict in my book was right at the beginning when Edward left bella. Once again she was left heart broken. Than she began best friends with Jake and than he started ditching her and not answering her phone calls and she didnt know why. So than she went down to La Push to see what was going on and Jake told her that he didnt want to be her friend anymore and Bella wasnt going to go for that so she kept at Jake til he told her wat was going on. Thats whend she found out that Jake was a werewolf. She really didnt know what to think since she was with a vampire and now she had to deal with a werewolf and she didnt know what they were like or how they acted.
When Robert brought his report card home,he showed his mom and she was glad to see all the A's but when he showed his Aunt Mattie she knew it wasn't good enough. She explained it to Robert's mom.
Well where do i start? The book is full of conflicts!!!!!! Guy's mother and father fight alot. Guy's parents split. Guy's father and grandfather can't agree on things to make the farm more productive. Guy's father buys alot of new equipment and goes in debt. Guy loses his crop of flax and the bankers hound him for money. So guy moves away to California. Guy's family lives on a indian reservation and the indians want the whites off of the reservation. The indians start vandilizing the farmers and other whites who live on the res. The farmers start putting lights up all over their farms to deter indians from vandilzing their equipment and cattle. the farmers have a rally on their equipment and drive into town and the person who started the dispute on the resevation; Tom Littlewolf, Guy's bestfriend, gets shot on accident by another indian Guy inheirates his grandfathers farm after Helmer gets trampled by a cow and his father get mad; but Guy turns the farm over to his dad, because Guy owns a multi-million dollar business in Cali.
One of the conflicts in my book (Impulse) can be related to Parebellum's book, "Executive Decision."
There is definitely an issue with trust in the book. The characters have to learn how to trust after so many heart wrenching problems so that they can be healed by talking and opening up to the therapists and other patients in the hospital.
Some things, however they will never trust again and always stay a little suspicious in their minds - home life -
In my book there is one conflict that connects all of the little ones. Sean and Charlotte O'Keefe are parents to an O.I. child named Willow. After Willow falls and breaks a leg at Disney Land, Sean is set on sueing for damages. What they find out when consulting a lawyer is that they might be liable for another lawsuit called a "Wrongful Birth Suit." They come to find that tthey would be suing their doctor for not telling them erlier about Willows O.I., and if they had known they would have chosen to abort the pregnacy. There are two problems with going through with this, one that their doctor just happend to be Charlotte's best friend Piper, and two that Both parents would have to get up in court and say that they wish their daughter was never born.
At the end of the book there was a pretty big conflict. Edward heard from alice who can see visions and she saw one that Bella was jumping off a cliff and she thought that she was trying to commit suicide. Edward went crazy and went to Italy to die. So alice and bella went their to save bella but the only way the people there would let them leave was if they agreed to turn bella into a vampire or they would come back and kill her. So they agreed to even thought edward doesnt really want her to.
The main charcter in my book faces a lot of conflict. He joins up with a group of travling wagons, whitch he saved from being killed by indians. The carvan makes him get food for them and follow him along there journey. but yet no one treats him with respect. One man has gruge against him because rock wants his to get with his girl friend and the guy is worried cuz rock is big strapping outlaw. This is the only reason he is sticking with carvan to protect the beatufiul girl from getting killed so far in my book
In the book The Firm Mitch took a job in Memphis at a small law firm. The FBI come up to him and tell him that the firm is working for a huge crime family and they need mitch to get info on all of the illegal things they do. But Mitch cant let the firm know what he's up to otherwise they will kill him. It makes it even harded to do because they have his car and house wired so the firm can hear everything he says.
Currently there is a group of people some believed to be in the military that are trying to kill him and everyone around him. Strange happenings such as dolls throwing their heads at him or fires starting with no one around. He also as XP a very rare desease that makes you highly aceptable to cancers of the skin or eyes from UV rays.
Sryke only has a short time to defeat the humans held up inside a farm house and retreav an object for his queen. Jup is pitted up against one of his own kind (a dwarf) but does not hesitate to cut him down. Later JUp is confronted by his fellow sergeant Heskeer about his race. Heskeer feels that JUp has no buissnes in an army of orcs. As they are about to fight it out, they are distracted by finding of a cash of valubal crystals. Sryke feels his solders did good in the fight so he alows them to rest, everybody falls asleep and are late to bring the queen her prize.
In the book, Exit Here, Travis Wayne goes through a lot of conflicts that really impact his life.....
Through out the book all he deals with is the drugs and trying to get things back to the way that they were before he left for Hawaii and isolated himself from everyone.......
Now.....he is dealing with the fact that his so called girlfriend is really the whore that everyone has labled her out to be.......(i mean come on.....first of all you dont go around sleeping with your boyfriends best friend and then haveing your own boyfriend paying for his friends abortion......seriously, where is your brain???).........
Like Kaylas book... In my book Conner is in love or so he thinks with an older woman who he had relations with who also happens to be one os his past teachers He loves her so deeply but cant be with her
In my book The kind of friends we used to be. I would say one of the conflicts in this book is when Kate meets a boy in her creative writting class. she has pretty much started to hang out more with the boy then she does with her own friends so they kind of start to fade away from eachother. This is because she has more in common now with the boy because he also plays the guitar.
i would say that my book relates to Gangster because my book as quite a few conflicts that she has to over come to keep going and trying to learn how to play the guitar and try to make the most of what she has going for her in her life.
the conflict in my book is intence theres fighting and kidnapping and stuff the main character max, her mom gets kidnapped and she has to go rescue her! But she meets many challenges along the way.
There are many difficult decisions that Bella had to make in my book Twilight. She loved Edward with all her heart, but being with him could mean her life. She had to choose weather or not to leave Charlie to run away from the "others" she broke his heart when she recited the same words her mother said years ago. But then that left her with the unknowing thought if he was going to be okay. She didn’t want to upset anyone but was memorized by Edwards every movement, she could never leave him. Towards the end of the book was her toughest decision, would she want to become a vampire so that she could be with Edward forever. With every day comes age, but not for Edward. Leaving her with the thought that she will grow old and he won’t.
The conflict in my book is similar to tip jns's. there is a lot of fighting in the wagon party. Rock is also trying to rescue someone, the woman he loves. He is trying to protect her from harm by putting up with the people who hate him.
Mj's and my book relate because of one big problem that connects all the little one. The reservation and it's problem of false land titles make more problems for the whites who live on the reservation. The land went from 1200 dollars an acre to worth absolutely notheing and farmers have restictions on their farming practices.
There is a few obstacles in Rolling Thunder such as when Rob was leading the race and had got a flat tire throwing him into a concreate wall at 180 mph causing the car to burn up and him to get light headed and broke his ankle. But he still races the next week with how beat up he is from his crash.
Like Punky 300's main character my character has that crash that impacts his life now. He now can't help on the car to get ready for sunday and he is laid up on the couch because he his badly beaten up from the crash.
my book is very similiar to tip jns because in the my story a family is kidnapped and mitch the main character must go rescue them. there is constant action and alot of fighting just like tip jns.
My book relates to sam zeuhls because there not a relationship between a young and old person but it is more like a very bonded friendship between turtle wextler and sydelle pulaski. They have become very close and its kinda weird because of the age difference.
My book relates to 100%corn-fed Farm boy's book because Willow and Amilia's parents fight alot. They fight alot about money and Willows care. They eventually split up and Sean serves divorce papers. They eventually get back together though.
My books conflicts occur on these so called peace missions that Robin Perry is put into. Although there are many different conflicts Robin finds a way to survive through each and every one.
The conflicts in my novel are that the town doctor changed the towns regular vitamins into placebos. also that a big giant lizard is woken up by a blind blues guitarist, playing sad slider notes on his guitar. causeing more chaos in the town.
JK about that last comment haha! My book is much like mike parady's because although there is an age difference between many of the peers in his battalion they are still able to get along and work as a group!
wow... my book relates not at all to anyone elses. So in all the other books there are many conflicts. the same can be said for mine. And with those conflicts it always changes the main character usually for the better.
Conflicts happen everyday! In my book Jenninfer's husband dies, and she has a miscarige, her grandmother in a coma for the summer, her friend brendon has tumor and doesn't want surgery, but then he decides he wants it and wasn't sure if he was gonna make it through the surgery. her grandmother and grandfather both die through out the book, and her grandmother also has a secret affair during the time jennifer is reading her letters.
Chris finaly figured out what was happing to the town and soon the rest of the world. His mother had created a virus that messes with your DNA and can have many different effects such as increased brain activity or large amounts of agression. The world will end to the virus but he relizes theres nothing he can do and to just live life as best he can.
One conflict that happened in my book was that the two boys finally got caught for jumping all these people for money and the cops took them to jail but since they were to young to go to prison they had to sit in jail for a couple of days until they went to the judge and he told them that they have to cummitiy service.
The other conflict the two boys had was money.... they needed a lot of money to pay for class dues so they could graduate and college the boys needed a boat load of money to pay for college but luckly they both ended up getting schoalrships that paid for the majority of it and they ended up finding enough money for there class fees.
Just like koolwhip said my book also has a group trying to kill people. The characters are getting chased by a group of people trying to kill everything around them. It's some crazy $#!& if you catch my drift.
One of the conflicts in my story is A rich and powerful logger named Judd Devit is trying to take the main characters'land. The main character refuses to give up his land and fights untill the end. Another conflict would be that colleen riley, which is suppose to be Judd Devit's future wife has now fallen in love with Clay.
Another conflict in my book wood be two of Clay Bell's cattlemen had been jumped by Judd Devit's lumber jacks and on of them dies. So Clay wants revenge.
My book relates to shawn's because both of our characters are baddly injured but decide to keep thriving because there is a lot at stake if they don't.
My book relates to GANGSTERS book in a way where Bella is being chased by people, and the Cullen family follows her in her journey. GANGSTER says "One man has grudge against him" which one of Edwards family members doesn't really get along with Bella because she is jealous of Bella and how she is so human. Our books don't relate directly but in some ways that he has described his book they do.
Zuehl samanthas character Tony seems to be like the chacter Jonnest (the queen) in my book becouse she doesnot feel acsepted by anyone. she is a hybreed petween an orc and a human. both races highly frown apon hybreeds.

ReplyDeleteThe conflicts in my novel are that the town doctor changed the towns regular vitamins into placebos. also that a big giant lizard is woken up by a blind blues guitarist, playing sad slider notes on his guitar. causeing more chaos in the town.
ReplyDeleteJK about that last comment haha! My book is much like mike parady's because although there is an age difference between many of the peers in his battalion they are still able to get along and work as a group!
ReplyDeletewow... my book relates not at all to anyone elses. So in all the other books there are many conflicts. the same can be said for mine. And with those conflicts it always changes the main character usually for the better.
ReplyDeleteConflicts happen everyday!
ReplyDeletemax is in love with fang but doesnt know to act because she wants to stay tough and not show her feelings
ReplyDeleteanother conflict is that MAX her mom gets kidnapped and she is forced to get help and stuff its intence
ReplyDeleteChris finaly figured out what was happing to the town and soon the rest of the world. His mother had created a virus that messes with your DNA and can have many different effects such as increased brain activity or large amounts of agression. The world will end to the virus but he relizes theres nothing he can do and to just live life as best he can.
ReplyDeleteOne conflict that happened in my book was that the two boys finally got caught for jumping all these people for money and the cops took them to jail but since they were to young to go to prison they had to sit in jail for a couple of days until they went to the judge and he told them that they have to cummitiy service.
ReplyDeleteThe other conflict the two boys had was money.... they needed a lot of money to pay for class dues so they could graduate and college the boys needed a boat load of money to pay for college but luckly they both ended up getting schoalrships that paid for the majority of it and they ended up finding enough money for there class fees.
ReplyDeleteJust like koolwhip said my book also has a group trying to kill people. The characters are getting chased by a group of people trying to kill everything around them. It's some crazy $#!& if you catch my drift.
ReplyDeleteThe conflict in my book is like koolwhips. The main character Mitch is being chased and killed by the FBI and the law firm/mob family he works for.
ReplyDeleteOne of the conflicts in my story is A rich and powerful logger named Judd Devit is trying to take the main characters'land. The main character refuses to give up his land and fights untill the end. Another conflict would be that colleen riley, which is suppose to be Judd Devit's future wife has now fallen in love with Clay.
ReplyDeleteAnother conflict in my book wood be two of Clay Bell's cattlemen had been jumped by Judd Devit's lumber jacks and on of them dies. So Clay wants revenge.
ReplyDeleteMy book relates to shawn's because both of our characters are baddly injured but decide to keep thriving because there is a lot at stake if they don't.
ReplyDeleteMy book relates to GANGSTERS book in a way where Bella is being chased by people, and the Cullen family follows her in her journey. GANGSTER says "One man has grudge against him" which one of Edwards family members doesn't really get along with Bella because she is jealous of Bella and how she is so human. Our books don't relate directly but in some ways that he has described his book they do.
